THE ARTIST

Third-generation San Franciscan Raymond Martinez was captivated by the natural beauty and cultural richness of his beloved city. The great bridges, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Legion of Honor, the Opera House and City Hall are among the structures that inspired Raymond's lifelong interest in architecture. Though he had some formal training in painting and drafting, he was largely self-taught. He was also a gifted singer and performed with some of the area's premier classical and chamger music ensembles, including the SF Opera and Symphony. He passed away in 2016. Today, his sister Marian is honored and pleased to help share his remarkable artistic gifts and help keep his legacy alive.
